Earthquake rocks Greece : Two dead on Kos as hundreds of tourists 

At least two tourists have been killed and more than 500 others injured after a powerful earthquake shook the Greek Islands and Turkish coast, triggering a small tsunami.
The 6.7-magnitude quake struck in the Aegean Sea on Thursday night south of the Turkish city of Bodrum and east of the small Greek island of Kos - both areas popular with British holidaymakers.

A protest march against crime by local residents in the area of Menidi, eastern Attica, turned violent on Monday night after a group of youths threw petrol bombs and stones against riot police at the train station, who responded with tear gas and stun grenades.

Funeral of former Greek PM Konstantinos Mitsotakis

The funeral procession of former Greek Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis, who passed away on Monday, is under way at the Athens Metropolitan Cathedral. The family of the late Prime Minister received the casket, which was draped in the Greek flag, at the Cathedral today at 7am, where it will remain from 1.30pm, according to the programme for the Greek public to show their respects and bid the final farewell.

An anti-austerity rally in Greece's capital turned violent Wednesday as a general strike halted flights, ferries and public transportation, and thousands joined protest marches across the country.
A small group of protesters threw gasoline bombs and fired flares at riot police after the marches ended in Athens.
